Functional Words — Level 2 Communication Pack

Functional Words, the description should shift away from naming objects and focus on using simple words to communicate needs, choices, responses, requests, and actions in everyday situations.

LEVEL 2 — FUNCTIONAL WORDS

Help children build their first functional communication vocabulary through clear, familiar, real-life pictures. This visual communication pack is designed to help children understand and use important everyday words such as Want, More, Yes, No, Help, Open, Again, Finished, Give, and Go.

Each flashcard shows a real-life situation where the functional word has a clear purpose, helping children connect what is happening → what they want to communicate → the functional word.
